CBSE open-book exam for Class 9: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, has announced that starting from the 2026–27 academic session, Class 9 students will take open-book examinations. This decision was taken by the CBSE after carefully reviews of pilot study and the acceptance of the model made to make the study easier and zero failure policy of the board.

Framework and Structure of the Assessment:
As the CBSE has approved the open book exam, it will be initiated into internal assessments conducted by the school for class 9. The main subjects in this decision will be any language subject, mathematics, Science and Social Science. The further information will be given by the schools, how they conduct this exam.
